A tsunami warning has been issued for elements of Japan’s east coast after a magnitude-7.6 earthquake struck off the shoreline Monday, in line with Japan’s Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) stated the earthquake struck at 11.15 p.m. native time (9.15 a.m. ET) round round 44 miles (70km) off the coast of the nation and at a depth of round 33 miles.
The tsunami peak may attain a peak of just about 10 toes (3 meters) in some areas of the shoreline, together with Iwate, Aomori and elements of Hokkaido, JMA stated.
