Trump won Iowa by 13 points in 2024. Can Democrats really compete for the state’s open Senate seat?

Dana Bash and the “Inside Politics” panel preview tonight’s main elections in Iowa, the place an open Senate seat has Democrats optimistic they’ll compete in what’s been a strong Republican state for over a decade. In the Democratic main, Nia-Malika Henderson tells Bash, “this is a fight about the identity of the party… We’ll see who comes out ahead. It’s a rare chance for a Democrat to possibly win this seat.”
