In a Fox News interview with Laura Ingraham, President Donald Trump stated he has an “obligation” to sue the BBC over claims the group defamed the president when it aired a documentary that edited his speech from January 6 2021. Both the Director General and the CEO of BBC News have resigned following the story, and BBC attorneys have been given till Friday to reply to Trump’s attorneys.
