Huntsville-based Torch Technologies and the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory have launched a brand new partnership aimed toward accelerating mission-relevant innovation for nationwide safety and strengthening workforce improvement efforts.
The two organizations introduced Monday the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a collaborative framework to help analysis, evaluation, and know-how improvement aligned with nationwide safety priorities.
The partnership will leverage ORNL’s scientific capabilities and Torch Technologies’ engineering and technical experience supporting federal protection clients.
Under the settlement, Torch Technologies and ORNL will discover joint efforts targeted on fast prototyping and scalable options to rising nationwide safety challenges, together with these pushed by advances in superior manufacturing, synthetic intelligence, autonomous programs, and sensing applied sciences.
The collaboration is designed to enhance understanding of mission necessities, determine analysis and improvement alternatives, and decide pathways for externally sponsored efforts.
