TikTok has signed the deal backed by President Donald Trump to sell its US belongings to a group of American traders, CEO Shou Chew advised workers in a memo Thursday.

Although the transaction shouldn’t be but full, the transfer brings TikTok one step nearer to securing its long-term future within the United States. It comes after a regulation handed final yr required that the US model of the app be spun off from its father or mother firm, ByteDance, or be banned within the United States.
