Greater Manchester, West Midlands and Glasgow City Region have been given an extra £20 million to help the expansion of science and technology improvements.
In an announcement forward of the federal government’s Regional Investment Summit in Birmingham on Tuesday, science and technology secretary Liz Kendall stated the cash is on high of the £30 million already announced for the three locations as part of Local Innovations Partnership Fund.
Funding has been allotted to 10 regions with different areas invited to apply for £20 million.
