Plenty of HHSAA state championships can be held across the Islands in the week ahead.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the HHSAA women golf championship will happen at Kāne‘ohe Klipper Golf Course. The boys championships may even happen at Klipper a week later.
The HHSAA Division I softball event begins on Tuesday and can wrap up on Friday at UH-Mānoa’s Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. The Division II event, set in Maui, runs from Wednesday to Saturday.
Division II softball can be considered one of six championship occasions held across the state on Saturday. The HHSAA women water polo event concludes on Saturday at Kamehameha-Kapālama’s campus, whereas the HHSAA tennis championships happen at Central O‘ahu Regional Park. The HHSAA judo championships will happen on Saturday on the Neal S. Blaisdell Center. Meanwhile, the HHSAA baseball Division I and II championship video games can be held at Les Murakami Stadium, additionally on Saturday.
College sports activities
Over in the faculty ranks, a number of Hawai‘i groups may even chase championships this week.
Fresh off a thrilling NCAA Tournament victory over USC, the University of Hawai‘i males’s volleyball crew will tackle rival Long Beach State in the nationwide semifinals at 3:30 p.m. HST on Saturday at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion. The match can be streamed on ESPN+ and broadcast through radio on ESPN Honolulu with Tiff Wells on the decision. The winner advances to Monday’s nationwide championship match in opposition to both UC Irvine or Long Beach State.
The University of Hawai‘i softball team is the No. 2 seed in the Big West softball event, set to happen in Fullerton, Calif. The Rainbow Wahine acquired a bye in the double elimination event and can open in opposition to both UC Santa Barbara or UC San Diego on Thursday at 1 p.m. HST.

Hawai‘i-Hilo’s softball crew (24-15) is the No. 2 seed in the upcoming PacWest Conference event and can open in opposition to Biola on Tuesday. Hawai‘i Pacific’s baseball team fell out of rivalry for the four-team event after splitting its collection with UHH over the weekend.
