The National Science and Technology Research Council (NST) announced on the 8th that Lee Han-joo, chairman of the Economic and Humanities and Social Research Council (NRC), and Kim Young-sik, chairman of the NST, attended the thirty third Management Council held at the Sejong Convention Center on the seventh to debate the path of cooperation between humanities and society and science and know-how.

Chairman Lee pointed to the lack of coverage sensitivity as a limitation of the present analysis system and harassed that analysis ought to reply extra sensitively to insurance policies and social wants. Chairman Lee stated, “The independence and autonomy of research should be respected, but research that is cut off from the policy agenda is difficult to create a change in reality,” including, “It is necessary to switch to a research system with policy sensitivity and responsiveness to current issues.”

Chairman Kim stated, “We sympathize with the need for cooperation between humanities and society and science and technology, and we will continue to cooperate so that policies and research can be organically linked in the future.” Taking this dialogue as a chance, the two organizations plan to additional strengthen the hyperlink between humanities and society and science and know-how and proceed to increase the cooperative construction wherein insurance policies and analysis are organically linked.
