The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) has signed an MoU with the U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO (URSC) to develop the Retarding Potential Analyzer for Venus (RPA-V) payload. The mission goals to discover the ionosphere of Venus and examine its interplay with photo voltaic wind, marking a major step ahead in India’s planetary exploration programme.

The RPA-V payload shall be developed below the management of Professor Umesh Kadhane, supported by school members Anoop Karpur, Immanuel Raja, Sooraj VS, R Sudharshan Kaarthik, Pradeep Kumar P, and RAJEEVAN PP.
