Since the start of the conflict with Iran, Israeli authorities have shut down Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City and fully banned Palestinians from praying in or across the holy website – as Ramadan approaches its climax. Officials say it’s a public security measure to guard individuals throughout air raids and level to comparable restrictions at different locations of worship in the Old City.
