The Supreme Court on Wednesday backed a Republican congressman from Illinois who’s difficult a state regulation that permits mail ballots to be received after Election Day, a call that might make it simpler for different candidates to problem voting legal guidelines – even when they in the end win their election.
The decision, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, was 7-2 with two of the courtroom’s liberals dissenting.
