Florida has two of the best small cities in America. And not surprisingly, these two locales are on the coast and wealthy in vacationers.
Conde Nast Traveler launched its record of best small cities in the U.S. and both Pensacola and St. Augustine have been in the highest 10. Coastal connections have been clearly a part of the attract for both cities. But there was rather more that put them close to the highest.
St. Augustine got here in fourth. The Nation’s Oldest City’s treasure trove of historic options was a primary motive the journey journal singled it out for reward.
“With such an impressive record, naturally, history is around every bend in the form of basilicas, schoolhouses, forts, and commemorative statues,” the journal stated. “Legend has it that the explorer Ponce de Leon searched for the fountain of youth around the city grounds, and while he may not have found it, St. Augustine’s variety of family-friendly fun brings out a second wind in everyone.”
The journey writers raved in regards to the seashores, waters and close by islands surrounding Pensacola, which was ranked tenth on the best small city record. But additionally they gave a nod to a different featured attraction in the Panhandle metropolis.
