RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics introduced on Monday the hiring of Elizabeth Murphy as an affiliate athletic coach.
Murphy will oversee the ladies’s basketball, males’s golf, and ladies’s golf packages for UTRGV. Prior to becoming a member of UTRGV, Murphy spent simply over one yr as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Houston Christian the place she oversaw all medical care for his or her softball and volleyball packages.

Prior to Houston Christian, Murphy was pursuing her Master of Science in athletic coaching from the University of Pittsburgh. While learning at Pitt, Murphy spent the spring of 2024 with the boys’s and ladies’s basketball packages serving to to present emergency and rehabilitative take care of student-athletes.
