Ceremonial doctoral and habilitation promotions
On Saturday, May 23rd, doctoral and habilitation promotions can be held on the Silesian University of Technology. During the ceremony, 11 habilitated medical doctors and 132 medical doctors will obtain diplomas, respectively, of habilitated physician and physician. The promotions can be accompanied by the award of the title of Honorary Professor of the Silesian University of Technology, which can be awarded to Prof. Ewa Piętka.
Doctoral and habilitation promotions are some of a very powerful occasions on the University. The ceremony with the participation of the authorities of the Silesian University of Technology will start at 11.00 within the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology.
During the promotion, the title of Honorary Professor of the Silesian University of Technology may also be offered, which this 12 months can be awarded to Prof. Ewa Piętka, a graduate of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology, presently related to the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering. Prof. Ewa Piętka is an impressive scientist and educational instructor, and her scientific, didactic, and organizational achievements have had a major affect on the event of the University and science in Poland.
