The fourth day of the Science Festival 2025, collectively organized by the State Atomic Energy Corporation of the Russian Federation (Rosatom) and the Ministry of Science and Technology, continued yesterday on the Nuclear Technology Information Centre in Yangon and at Yangon Technological University.

Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr Aung Zeya, directors-general from the Department of Atomic Energy and the Department of Advanced Science and Technology, collectively with officers from ROSATOM and Russian universities, attended and inspired the pageant.

The Nuclear Quest competitors was held at 9 am on the Nuclear Technology Information Centre, the place 300 and fifty primary education college students took half. This was adopted by a chat titled “Sustainable Development and Environmental Benefits of SMR,” delivered by Dr Alexender Nakhebov, Deputy Head of the Department of Nuclear Physics and Engineering on the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering, National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI). Participants raised questions and mentioned the subject, and the Deputy Minister joined the dialogue with coordinated inputs.

Similarly, a panel dialogue on future expertise and innovation was held within the morning at Yangon Technological University. Yangon Technological University Rector Dr Hla Myo Tun, Director-General Dr Aung Moe of the Department of Atomic Energy, and Associate Professor Dr Fomin Roman from MEPhI spoke and exchanged views.

In the afternoon, the second-day programme of the HackAtom competitors continued at Yangon Technological University. Ten groups, every comprising eleven college college students, introduced their revolutionary concepts and info by growing pc software program functions and web sites based mostly on a 4D proposal designed to construct small modular nuclear energy vegetation and assist regional growth. A panel of judges composed of Russian and Myanmar specialists raised questions and evaluated the shows. Science festivals collectively organized by Rosatom and the Ministry of Science and Technology started in 2023. This 12 months marks the third version of the pageant, coinciding meaningfully with the twenty fifth anniversary of the signing of the Russia-Myanmar Friendly Cooperation Declaration and the eightieth anniversary of the founding of the nuclear business in Russia. The pageant was held for 2 days in Nay Pyi Taw and two days in Yangon, successfully broadening the dissemination of data, consciousness and views associated to nuclear expertise.
