A dialogue assembly titled “Importance, prospects and strategies for promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy and technology in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh” was held on the headquarters of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) on Wednesday (5 November 2025) at 3pm.
Md Anwar Hossain, secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, attended the assembly because the chief visitor. Former chairmen and members of the BAEC additionally participated within the dialogue.
Eminent nuclear scientists shared their insights on the potential and methods for the peaceable software of nuclear power and technology within the nation’s socio-economic growth. They additionally supplied steerage on the formulation of future nationwide insurance policies and methods for nuclear analysis and technological development.
The assembly was attended by Dr Md Mojibur Rahman, present chairman of the BAEC, and Dr Debashish Pal, member (Physical Sciences).
Speaking on the event, Science and Technology Secretary Md Anwar Hossain assured full cooperation in increasing using nuclear technology for public welfare and in formulating a sustainable nationwide nuclear policy and technique.
In his remarks, BAEC Chairman Dr Md Mojibur Rahman expressed gratitude to the secretary, former chairmen, members and all contributors for their lively engagement and helpful steerage in shaping the longer term course of nuclear technology for the nation’s socio-economic development.
