‘Science and Technology’ fair held in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, June 14, 2026 (BSS) – A district-level Startup, Science Project and 

Innovation Idea Showcasing Programme was held in the district immediately bringing 

collectively college students and lecturers to current progressive concepts and scientific 

initiatives below the theme, “Bangladesh First Through Talent, Science and 

Innovation”.

The occasion was organised at PTI auditorium to encourage creativity, scientific 

considering, and technological innovation amongst college students.

M. Manjurul Karim Rony, Member of Parliament for Gazipur-2 constituency, was 

current on the occasion because the chief visitor with Deputy Commissioner and District 

Magistrate Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan in the chair. 

On the event, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) M. 

Rakibul Hasan attended as particular visitor.

Students from varied academic establishments throughout the district showcased 

their progressive initiatives and concepts in the course of the fair.

In his remarks, the chief visitor stated that every mission displayed on the fair 

had the potential to encourage a separate exhibition. Many famend 

organisations around the globe had been established from a single progressive 

thought, he added. 

He emphasised that the first goal of innovation is to avoid wasting time, 

simplify life, and guarantee one of the best use of human expertise and sources for the 

welfare of society.

Among the initiatives exhibited, Khatkora High School of Kaliganj and Union High 

School of Kapasia collectively secured first place. Afaz Uddin Memorial School of 

Kaliakair received second place whereas Swapnachhoya High School of Sreepur achieved 

third place.

The programme was organised by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher 

Education (DSHE) and the Education Excellence Support System and 

International Educational Development Programme (IEDP) below the Ministry of 

Education. 

The occasion was applied with assist from the Gazipur District 

Administration and the District Education Office.
