Following the Anaheim Ducks’ development to Round Two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 in Game 6, the NHL formally introduced the date, time, and channel for Game 1 of Round Two for the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers.
Game 1 between the Hurricanes and Flyers would be the first recreation of Round Two, and is at present the one recreation scheduled for the Stanley Cup quarter-finals leaguewide.

Interestingly, except Friday sees a trio of handshake strains between the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres, Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens, and Vegas Golden Knights and Utah Mammoth, then Round Two will open earlier than Round One has reached a conclusion.

Availability of Injured Hurricanes Players Remains Unknown
Game 4 of Round One towards the Ottawa Senators noticed Alexander Nikishin leave the game because of what was later introduced as a concussion, whereas Nikolaj Ehlers didn’t play the sport in any respect because of a lower-body damage.

In the practices since they completed the first-round sequence, Ehlers has remained absent. However, Nikishin has lately returned to the ice, skating in yellow non-contact gear as he continues the NHL’s concussion protocol.
While it’s unclear if they’ll play Saturday towards the Flyers, Rod Brind’Amour has said that he’s hopeful that they’ll be capable of play Game 1.
