RmSTU hosts first-ever ‘Science Olympiad-2026’

RANGAMATI, Jan 3, 2026 (BSS) – The Rangamati University of Science and Technology (RmSTU) hosted the first-ever ‘Science Olympiad-2026’ on its campus in the present day, drawing enthusiastic participation from college students throughout the district.
Vice-Chancellor and Fellow of the Bangladesh Academy of Science Professor Dr Md Atiyar Rahman attended the rally and dialogue session because the chief visitor. Students from varied faculties and faculties in Rangamati district took half within the occasion.
Among others current had been Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology and Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Dr Muhammad Jamshed Alam Patwary, Proctor of the University Saddam Hossain, together with lecturers and college students from totally different departments of RmSTU and native academic establishments.
A complete of 219 college students from faculties and faculties in Rangamati district registered for the Science Olympiad, which is being organized nationwide by the Bangladesh Academy of Science. The Olympiad was held from 10:00 am and lasted for one and a half hours.
After analysis of the reply scripts, prizes had been distributed later this afternoon on the tutorial constructing of RmSTU.
Speaking on the event, Vice-Chancellor Dr Atiyar Rahman mentioned the Bangladesh Academy of Science organizes varied packages all year long to foster college students’ curiosity in science in Rangamati district.
He expressed hope that college students educated at RmSTU, the one increased schooling establishment within the district, would apply scientific information to enhance the standard of lifetime of the folks within the area.
