PRESS RELEASE — Canada’s main quantum analysis establishments are driving a unified nationwide effort to advance quantum innovation and expertise growth by means of the Quantum Co-laboratory, a community that hyperlinks specialised analysis infrastructure and distinctive experience throughout the nation. 

Entering a second five-year time period, the partnership now contains the University of Calgary’s Institute for Quantum Science and Technology (IQST), alongside the University of Waterloo’s Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), Université de Sherbrooke’s Institut quantique, and the University of British Columbia’s Blusson Quantum Matter Institute (UBC Blusson QMI). 

The initiative offers customers from academia, business, and authorities with entry to world-leading experience and superior infrastructure required for quantum innovation, whereas serving as a nationwide platform to develop the workforce wanted to translate quantum capabilities into financial worth for Canada.
