A convention on funding pomotion for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation was held on November 24 in northern Quang Ninh province, inside the framework of the Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum that happened in the identical province, in line with a report from the net newspaper of Radio the Voice of Vietnam.

At the convention, Quang Ninh granted funding certificates to 7 initiatives with a complete registered capital of over VND16 trillion (practically $607 million) within the science and technology sector.

The convention was attended by some 450 home and worldwide delegates, together with leaders of central ministries and companies, overseas embassies in Vietnam, worldwide organizations, and main enterprises corresponding to JETRO, KOCHAM, Marubeni, and DEEP C.

Speaking on the convention, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Quang Ninh, Mr. Bui Van Khang, emphasised that the province has recognized breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, non-public sector improvement, and technological infrastructure as the first drivers for improvement.

“Quang Ninh hopes that the business community, investors, scientists, and experts will join hands to research, propose, and implement projects on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; create products and services with high added value linked to the global value chain; and promote the development of the green economy, digital economy, sharing economy, circular economy, night-time economy, and other sustainable development models,” stated Mr. Khang.

On this event, a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) on funding cooperation have been signed between the province and its companions, in addition to amongst companies. These agreements deal with human useful resource coaching and improvement, analysis and utility of digital technology, the power trade, and the promotion of progressive startups.
