Prof. GUO Yike, Provost and Chair Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), has been elected as a Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) in recognition of his distinctive contributions to the Information and Electronics Engineering Division. The CAE is the nation’s highest tutorial establishment in engineering sciences and know-how, and membership is taken into account as the very best lifelong tutorial honor within the area.

A world main laptop scientist, Prof. Guo spent 33 years on the Imperial College London earlier than coming to Hong Kong in 2020. His analysis focuses on information mining for large-scale scientific purposes together with distributed information mining strategies, machine studying and informatics methods for biology, chemistry, geophysics, healthcare, setting, financial system, finance, social media, artistic design and safety purposes.
