One person is in custody and an investigation is underneath method following an incident that triggered property injury at the Ohio residence of Vice President JD Vance, authorities stated Monday.
The Vance household was not in Ohio at the time of the incident, in response to the US Secret Service.
Photos from native information shops confirmed damage to the home windows of the residence. A Secret Service spokesperson stated the person, an grownup male who has not been recognized, was detained “for causing property damage, including breaking windows on the exterior of a personal residence associated with” Vance.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight.
“The U.S. Secret Service is coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office as charging decisions are reviewed,” the spokesperson, Anthony Guglielmi, stated.
Authorities are investigating whether or not a person was focusing on Vance or his household, a federal legislation enforcement official informed NCS. They don’t consider the person entered the vice chairman’s residence.
A White House official informed NCS the Vance household had already left city earlier than the incident occurred.
