According to the Visit Pensacola information launch, the listing reveals off “people, places, and projects tackling travel’s most pressing issues with creativity and purpose.”
“Being named to Bright Ideas is a great honor,” stated Darien Schaefer, president and CEO of Visit Pensacola. “Through authentic storytelling and years of collaboration between the City of Pensacola, community advocates, and our team, Bruce Beach stands as a model for inclusive waterfront development and a gathering place that celebrates Pensacola’s dynamic history.”
The metropolis and beach have been added to the listing due to the mission being shared with the general public nationally in addition to regionally.

“I am blessed to have been a part of this beautiful park vision since it was born in 2018 – first as a citizen and now as mayor,” Mayor DC Reeves stated. “I know how hard our entire community worked to make this happen and how well-deserved this recognition is for all of our city. This honor also strengthens Pensacola’s position as a must-visit destination and drives continued growth in tourism and economic opportunity.”
