Grimm is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and beforehand labored within the Fisheries Ecology Lab at the Dauphin Island Sea Laboratory, an NGI member establishment. She joined NOAA as chief of workers in January and assumed her present management function in April. Prior to becoming a member of NOAA, Grimm served as director of ocean markets at the World Wildlife Fund US Oceans.
