The institute goals to have funding for the brand new system included in a particular invoice to increase uneven fight and total fight resilience, the supply stated.

The Ministry of National Defense has proposed a price range of up to NT$1 trillion (US$33.22 billion) as a part of the invoice.

Project Chiang Kung is creating two missiles (variations I and II), each constructed on the extended-altitude variations of the Tien Kung III (天弓, “Sky Bow”) missile, with the Chiang Kung I expected to turn out to be the Tien Kung IV, with an interception altitude of 70km, up from the Tien Kung III’s 45km, the supply stated.

The Chiang Kung II is expected to have two derivatives, they stated.

The Chiang Kung IIA is rumored to have an interception altitude of 100km, on a par with the US Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, whereas the Chiang Kung IIB would be a brand new surface-to-surface ballistic missile with an estimated vary of 1,000km, they stated.

The ministry at a information convention as we speak is expected to introduce the tools to be displayed on the exhibition, the supply stated.

M1A2T Abrams tanks, M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and a surface-launched Tien Chien (天劍) missile system are amongst different objects expected to be displayed, they stated.

The Chiang Kung missiles would be displayed alongside cellular launcher vans and cellular radar vans, stated the supply, who had previewed the tools to be exhibited.
