New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is requesting his possession stake in the team be transferred to his children, in accordance to an inside NFL memo.
Tisch – alongside along with his siblings Jonathan and Laurie Tisch – notified NFL chief executives and membership presidents on Wednesday of their intentions to transfer “approximately 23.1%” of their remaining pursuits in the team into separate trusts for their children, in accordance to the memo obtained by NCS.
“Following the transactions, the Sellers will no longer own any interest in the Club,” the memo stated.
“This transaction is part of estate planning that has been going on for 3-4 years and has nothing to do with anything else. And everybody’s role remains same,” a supply accustomed to the matter advised NCS.
The memo acknowledged that the proposed transfers would full a collection of household property planning transfers. “Prior transfers to these Trusts were completed pursuant to 2023 and 2024 Finance Committee approvals,” the memo reads.
The transfer is topic to approval by the NFL’s finance committee. NCS has reached out to the NFL and the New York Giants for remark.
