A new platform designed to meet the demands of rapid coding in today's AI-driven development landscape has been launched. Entire, a developer platform founded by former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke, aims to address the challenges posed by the increasing speed of coding.

Entire is built on a decentralized Git network that was announced in July and is intended to handle the surge in AI-related coding activity that has led to recurring outages at popular platforms like GitHub. The platform's creators believe it can provide an alternative solution for teams looking to merge changes quickly.

The key innovation behind Entire lies in its redesign of traditional coding features, including the introduction of Trails instead of pull requests. According to Entire, Trails offer a heads-up display that provides developers with real-time feedback from agents on every code push. This approach is meant to improve collaboration and streamline the development process.

Entire's concept of Trails allows for customized evaluations by agents, providing developers with instant feedback on their code changes.

Entire's platform allows for seamless integration of coding agents into the development process. This is made possible through its web interface and open-source CLI, which provide developers with real-time feedback on their code changes. The platform's agent-based approach enables automated evaluation and validation, streamlining the review process.

The company emphasizes that each trail within Entire showcases how agents spend tokens, providing valuable insights into the development process. This information is presented alongside the code itself, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of the development workflow. Dohmke notes that the platform treats these trails as first-class artifacts, making them an integral part of the review process.

Entire's platform also boasts impressive speed advantages over traditional Git hosting services. According to the company, its decentralized network enables repository creation, migration, and hosting at speeds up to 89 times faster than GitHub. This is particularly notable when compared to Cursor origin, which Entire claims to be six times faster than.

Currently, developers can host private repositories in multiple locations across the world, with initial support for the US, India, Australia, and the EU.

Entire's Continuous Memory feature allows developer session logs to be stored alongside code in the repository as a data source. This enables agents to search through these logs and reduce the number of tokens required for queries, reportedly by up to 71%. The functionality is similar to memory features found in other AI chatbots that utilize past conversations or interactions to speed up query response time.

Continuous Memory consists of two main components: a codebase graph and an "agentic brain". This agentic brain uses previous sessions and prompts as lessons to prevent agents from repeating mistakes. By learning from these experiences, Entire aims to improve the overall performance and efficiency of its agent-first platform.

Entire is now available for all developers to try out, offering them a chance to experience the benefits of its unique features firsthand.
