The laboratories of seven government-funded analysis institutes (GRIs), which have diligently superior nationwide science and expertise in fields starting from telecommunications and chemistry to equipment, supplies, and railways, have been unveiled. The National Science Museum introduced that it has partnered with the National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) to construct the brand new ‘NST-GRI Integrated Promotion Hall’ on the primary ground of the Science and Technology Hall, which opened on the twenty second.

The exhibition was deliberate to commemorate the historic milestones these GRIs are celebrating this 12 months. Visitors develop into new brokers throughout the ‘National Research Institute Infiltration Mission’ idea, continuing via 4 levels: the ‘Past Zone,’ which captures the fervour of researchers; the ‘Present Zone,’ a 3D game-like interactive expertise; the ‘Future Zone,’ which visualizes a future expertise roadmap; and ‘Agent Registration (Epilogue),’ the place they’ll think about themselves as scientists. Through this journey, guests can naturally expertise and perceive the roles and analysis achievements of the institutes. 

A complete of seven establishments are taking part, together with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), celebrating its sixtieth anniversary; the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT), Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI), and Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), all celebrating their fiftieth anniversaries; and the Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI), celebrating its thirtieth anniversary.

Kwon Seok-min, Director General of the National Science Museum, acknowledged, “The museum will continue to cooperate closely with NST and the GRIs to present diverse R&D exhibitions and science experiences, helping the public become more familiar with and better understand science and technology.”

Kim Young-sik, Chairman of NST, commented, “This will serve as a window showing how the achievements of our research institutes have contributed to the daily lives of the public,” including, “I hope it becomes an opportunity to instill limitless imagination and dreams in future scientific talent.”
