Dashcam video emerged Tuesday displaying two bystanders making an attempt to disarm considered one of the suspected gunmen before they carried out their horrific assault on a Hanukkah occasion attended by a whole bunch of households, killing at least 15 people.

The video, first posted on Chinese social media platform XiaoHongShu and geolocated by NCS, shows a person carrying a purple shirt grappling with the attacker as he exits his automotive on Campbell Parade at Bondi. A girl may be seen working towards the scene.

NCS-affiliate 9News reported the confrontation came about before the Bondi assault started. NCS verified it came about round 25 meters away from the bridge the suspects had been later filmed firing from.

The two bystanders, have been recognized as Boris Gurman, 69, and his spouse Sofia, 61, a Russian-Jewish couple who lived in Bondi. The Gurmans had been fatally shot within the assault and had been the primary victims of the rampage, in response to 9News.

The video comprises two dashcam angles of the second. In the primary, the person recognized as Boris Gurman may be seen pulling the suspected attacker to the bottom and grabbing the gun from him. Both males fall to the bottom.

Gurman can then be seen on his ft, holding the gun. The girl, recognized as Sofia Gurman, is standing close by.

In the second angle, taken from a rear dealing with dashcam because the automotive drives away, Boris Gurman may be seen working towards the attacker whereas holding a black object.

What seems to be an ISIS flag may also be seen on the hood of the attacker’s automotive.

A press release launched by the couple’s household mentioned their actions encapsulated the kind of folks Boris and Sofia had been, “people who instinctively and selflessly tried to help others,” 9News reported.

“While nothing can lessen the pain of losing Boris and Sofia, we feel an overwhelming sense of pride in their bravery and selflessness,” the assertion reportedly mentioned.
