RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Nevada Commission has dominated that Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony used state resources to promote a women’s sports task force.
Anthony launched the Lieutenant Governor’s Task Force to Protect Women’s Sports in January of 2025, a task force charged with retaining athletes in sports leagues that align with the gender.
The Commission discovered that Anthony violated a number of statutes by utilizing his official electronic mail and social media accounts to promote the task force.
The ethics criticism in opposition to Anthony was filed in February of final 12 months by the Nevadans for Equal Rights Committee, saying he inappropriately used workers to assist the task force.
That declare was dismissed, however in a 3-2 vote throughout Wednesday’s assembly, Anthony was fined $3,000.
He will now be required to full ethics coaching and set up a devoted social media coverage inside his workplace.
