The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has introduced two finalists for the vice chancellor for research and innovation place. Selected by way of an inside search, the candidates will take part in interviews with college, workers, stakeholders, college students and directors April 21-22.

Ankerson on April 15, finalists are Jennifer Mize Nelson, interim vice chancellor for research and innovation, and research affiliate professor in the Department of Psychology; and Mark R. Riley, affiliate dean for research and a professor in the College of Engineering.

The vice chancellor stories to the chancellor and serves because the college’s chief research and financial improvement officer, offering mental, strategic and visionary management for Nebraska’s research enterprise. Jennifer Mize Nelson

Nelson is interim vice chancellor for research and innovation, a task she has held since November 2024. She beforehand served as affiliate vice chancellor and research integrity officer in the Office of Research and Innovation.
