NCS anchor Abby Phillip questioned impartial journalist Nick Shirley’s investigation into Minnesota daycare facilities on Monday, arguing that the “Somali community is under attack” and “being threatened” over prices of widespread fraud.
Phillip didn’t appear too impressed with Shirley’s viral report throughout Monday’s version of NCS NewsNight. Shirley visited a number of Minneapolis daycare facilities and located them to be largely vacant or inactive — with some workers members shooing him away for asking in the event that they had been enrolling youngsters.
“Go away. You’re not welcome here. Shame on you,” one girl advised Shirley.
Phillip stated she understood this was all “about politics,” however dismissed Shirley for a way he went about his reporting.

Panelist Christine Quinn — the vice chair of the New York State Democratic Committee — agreed with Phillip. She stated at homeless shelters she is concerned in, they might not permit “unauthorized” individuals to present up and check out to enroll their youngsters of their daycare facilities.
