NCS founder Ted Turner died Wednesday at age 87, in accordance with Turner Enterprises.

“Ted was an intensely involved and committed leader, intrepid, fearless and always willing to back a hunch and trust his own judgement,” CEO of NCS Worldwide, Mark Thompson, said in a statement, according to NCS.

Thompson mentioned that Turner’s spirit lives on.

“He was and always will be the presiding spirit of NCS,” he mentioned. “Ted is the giant on whose shoulders we stand, and we will all take a moment today to recognize him and his impact on our lives and the world.”

Turner additionally based the United Nations Foundation, and owned the Atlanta Braves from 1976 to 2007.

In 2018, Turner revealed that he had Lewy physique dementia and was hospitalized in 2025 with pneumonia.

He is survived by his 5 children, fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

President Donald Trump paid tribute to Turner, saying he was one of many “greats of all time.”
