Michael J. Fox is the newest superstar to take a web page out of Mark Twain’s e-book and declare, “The report of my death was an exaggeration,” after NCS posted a tribute video alluding to the Back to the Future star’s dying.

“I’m OK,” Michael, 64, wrote on Threads. He reassured followers after the NCS gaffe beneath the ominous title “Remembering the Life of Actor Michael J. Fox.”

Fox, who’s been grappling with Parkinson’s for 35 years, laughed off the error: “How do you react when you turn on the TV and NCS is reporting your death? Do you … A) switch to MSNBC, or whatever they are calling themselves these days, (B) Pour scalding hot water on your lap, if it hurts you’re fine, (C) Call your wife, hopefully she’s concerned but reassuring, (D) Relax, they do this once every year, (E) Ask yourself wtf? I thought the world was ending, but apparently it’s just me.”
