National Guard going to Memphis next to address 'crime'

President Donald Trump stated Friday that he’ll ship the National Guard to Memphis, Tennessee one month after he federalized legislation enforcement in Washington, D.C. and deployed troopers throughout the town in an effort to address crime.

“We’re going to Memphis,” Trump stated on Fox News, calling the town “deeply troubled.”

The president has beforehand stated troops could be deployed to Chicago, regardless of fierce opposition to the thought from the town’s mayor and the Illinois governor.

Trump didn’t clarify what authorized framework the White House would use to justify a deployment of troopers to one other U.S. metropolis.

A federal decide has already barred the administration from deploying the National Guard in Los Angeles.
