The Minot State ladies’s hockey staff has had a robust displaying this season, and their rating on this week’s American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I ladies’s hockey ballot, the ultimate ballot of the season, displays it.
The Beavers held on to their No. 3 rating within the ACHA ballot after their back-to-back wins towards the Jamestown Jimmies to shut out their common season final week Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28.
Michigan-Dearborn, the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association champion, Grand Canyon, the champion from the Western Women’s Collegiate Hockey league, and Liberty, the Women’s Midwest College Hockey league champion, had been every robotically invited to the nationwide event, together with the following 9 highest-ranked groups within the final ACHA ballot.
The ACHA ballot rating decided which one in all 4 swimming pools of groups they might be assigned to. The Beavers’ No. 3 rating locations them in Pool C with No. 6-ranked Michigan-Dearborn and No. 10-ranked Jamestown. Each staff within the pool will play two video games every from Mar. 18-20. The winner after the spherical of pool video games will advance to the ACHA Tournament semifinals on Saturday, Mar. 21.
The Beavers will start pool play at nationals in Maryland Heights, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 18 towards tin-state rival Jamestown for a rematch of the common season. The Beavers will then play towards No. 6 Michigan-Dearborn on Thursday, Mar. 19, to wrap up their pool play for the nationwide event.
