Israel says it has responded to an assault on Israeli forces in southern Gaza with airstrikes within the space of Rafah, the primary main check of the US-brokered ceasefire. Hamas has not but commented on the accusations however a senior official within the group, Izzat Al-Rishq, stated shortly after on Telegram that the militants stay dedicated to the ceasefire settlement, and accused Israel of “fabricating weak pretexts to justify its crimes.”
