Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology has strengthened the Indonesia-Japan research and industrial partnership by means of strategic discussions with Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and Toyota.

Director General of Research and Development Fauzan Adziman, in a written assertion on Saturday, mentioned that the assembly, just lately held on the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), aimed to encourage targeted and impactful collaborative pilot initiatives.

The authorities targets launching a number of key initiatives quickly by leveraging the specialised capacities of each Indonesian and Japanese establishments.

“Our role is to ensure this strong collaboration is accelerated through policy and program support, allowing research results to be implemented quickly for a broad impact,” Adziman mentioned.

He emphasised constructing a long-term partnership aligned with a decade-long imaginative and prescient to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem.

The collaboration focuses on strategic areas, together with biofuels and sustainable applied sciences, matching NEDO’s research priorities.

ITB Chancellor Tatacipta Dirgantara famous that the partnership stems from long-standing tutorial ties now bolstered by ongoing research.

He cited the event of a biofuel catalyst manufacturing facility with Pertamina for instance of research tailor-made to future power wants.

“Environmentally friendly energy is the goal of global energy development. Meanwhile, collaboration across countries, industry, universities, and governments is key to ensuring research delivers tangible benefits for future generations,” he mentioned.

NEDO Executive Director Kikuo Kishimoto described the assembly as productive, affirming Japan’s dedication to sharing technological data.

“We want to build a collaboration where we not only share technology but also grow together to face future challenges,” he mentioned.

During the go to, delegates toured ITB’s research services and laboratories to look at the infrastructure and ecosystem supporting the event and downstreaming of science and expertise innovation.
