Micron has a construction partner for the start of construction of its semiconductor facility in Clay.

The expertise firm introduced Wednesday that Bechtel, an engineering and construction firm, will support within the constructing of what Micron says will likely be America’s largest semiconductor manufacturing plant.

“This project represents more than the construction of a semiconductor manufacturing campus, it is part of the foundation of America’s industrial future,” Bechtel President/CEO Craig Albert mentioned in an announcement.

Bechtel can be engaged on semiconductor manufacturing buildings in Ohio, in addition to a number of renewable energy products across the country.

“As the only U.S. manufacturer of memory, we know a project of this scale and complexity is only possible through the strength of partnership, and we are pleased to partner with Bechtel … to bring this facility to life,” Micron Executive Vice President of Global Operations Manish Bhatia mentioned in an announcement.
