McCarthy is an internationally acknowledged chief and researcher who most not too long ago has served as director of the U.S. ITER Project Office, which is managed by ORNL with accomplice labs Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and Savannah River National Laboratory. About the journal: FS&T is one of three journals printed by ANS, together with Nuclear Science and Engineering (NST; printed since 1956) and Nuclear Technology (NT; printed since 1965). FS&T spun out of NT in 1981 as Nuclear Technology–Fusion, earlier than going by the title Fusion Technology from 1984 to 2001.
