COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland Women’s Tennis group received its eighth match of the season against #56-ranked UPenn this afternoon, 6-1. This improves their file to 8-1 earlier than the group embarks on a street journey to the West Coast subsequent week.
In doubles, the Terps clinched the purpose with two sweeps from “The Polish Express” (Oliwia Orlinska and Magdalena Baniak) and the dynamic junior duo (Aida Eissa and Diya Challa).
In singles matches, the Terps picked up early factors from Ema Kovacevic and Magdalena Baniak, giving them a 3-0 lead.
To clinch the victory, Emma Ghirardato battled within the second set, finally successful her match 6-3, 7-5.
Oliwia Orlinska bounced again from being down 4-2 within the first set to successful each units, together with the second set 6-2!
A win from Tamari Gagoshidze and a loss from Lucia Donnelly made the ultimate rating 6-1.
