US firm Maritime Tactical Systems (MARTAC) has entered right into a strategic tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan’s National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) and Confucian Co., setting the stage for joint analysis, development, and co-production of next-generation sensible unmanned floor vessels (USVs).

As disclosed, the partnership displays a shared dedication to fostering sustainable industrial development and supporting the adoption of USVs in Taiwan.

Under the phrases of the MOU, the three events will:

  • Promote analysis and development in the Unmanned Surface Vehicle market;
  • Collaborate on joint manufacturing and technology-sharing initiatives;
  • Explore provide chain integration and workforce development alternatives;
  • Encourage information trade to improve manufacturing competitiveness and
    adoption.
