Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was booked and released on the Marion County Jail in Indiana on Sunday, in response to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
While leaving, the 38-year-old spoke to reporters upon launch, thanking first responders for serving to save his life.
“But I’m focused on my recovery, and I just want to see my wife, I want to see my son, my two baby girls,” Sanchez mentioned.
Sanchez is going through a felony cost for his function in an altercation that led to the previous New York Jet being stabbed final week.
Marion County, Indiana, prosecutor Ryan Mears mentioned earlier this week that further investigation by police led to the extra extreme cost. Sanchez had initially been charged with three misdemeanors as part of the incident. Mears mentioned he now faces a cost of felony battery involving critical bodily harm, which carries a most sentence of between one and six years in jail.
According to Mears, the dispute between Sanchez and a truck driver started over a parking area.

Sanchez didn’t touch upon any prices he’s going through or if he needed to say something to the motive force, Perry Tole, on Sunday, including “there will be a day to answer all these questions.”
Tole, the 69-year-old man concerned within the incident, filed a lawsuit towards Sanchez and others on Monday. Tole and his attorneys allege civil counts of assault/battery and negligent hiring, retention and supervision. The lawsuit doesn’t search a certain quantity of damages somewhat it asks for the quantity awarded to be decided at trial.

After starring at quarterback for the USC Trojans, Sanchez performed within the NFL for 10 seasons with the New York Jets and a number of different groups, retiring after the 2018 season. Sanchez joined FOX Sports in 2021 as a recreation analyst.
