COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has constructed a status as a lightning rod for her confrontational model, stated in a NCS interview Sunday that she is going to cease utilizing “toxic” rhetoric.
Speaking to host Dana Bash, Green stated she herself has turn out to be a goal for President Trump now that she seems to be softening a few of her hard-right views.
Last week, Trump said Greene has “lost her way” after she known as him out on the inflation disaster affecting many Americans.
Greene hit back, saying she hasn’t lost her way, including that she’s “America Only.”
And later within the week, Greene said releasing the Epstein files is frequent sense, saying Trump’s resistance to it’s troubling.
During Sunday’s interview, Greene stated she is now a goal and that she would not really feel protected.
“The most hurtful thing (Trump) said, which is absolutely untrue, is he called me a traitor, and that is so extremely wrong,” Greene advised Bash on Sunday. “And those are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger.”
Bash questioned why Greene is popping out in opposition to Trump’s rhetoric solely now that she is the topic of such vitriol.
“I would like to say, humbly, I’m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics; it’s very bad for our country,” Greene stated. “It’s been something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated.”
