HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – It’s an enormous day for the Mae Jemison Jaguars.

Student athletes have a brand-new place to play, just in time for baseball and softball seasons.

Crews have completed resurfacing each fields for Mae Jemsion High School.

When the college opened in 2016, the fields have been each grass and dust.

Now, they’ve been upgraded to rubber turf.

Mae Jemsion is one in every of 5 Huntsville City Schools to have its fields upgraded.

But native leaders say extra are coming quickly.
