
Students of the Quinte area not too long ago showcased their skills at the annual Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair (QRSTF), with choose students advancing to the Canada-Wide Science Fair.
On Saturday Aprril 11, 2026, St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School in Belleville hosted over 80 elementary and highschool students, from Grades 4 to 12, from throughout the Quinte area.
The students introduced tasks from a big selection of scientific disciplines together with environmental research, engineering challenges, well being sciences, and computational pondering.

Surya Narayan Santhakumar, a Grade 11 scholar from Eastside Secondary School, gained the senior division for the undertaking ‘VisionIQ: A Novel Multi-Model AI Approach for Visual Impairment’.
In addition, five students had been chosen to compete at the Canada-Wide Science Fair happening in Edmonton, Alberta from Saturday, May 23 to Saturday, May 30, 2026.
