AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The VA Augusta Health Care System introduced native veterans have been chosen to signify veteran athletes on posters for two national disabled Veteran sporting events occurring this 12 months.

Lisa Maddox, M.D., a affected person at VA Augusta, will likely be featured on the poster for the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic.

The sports clinic will likely be held from April 4-11 in Colorado.

Justin Hall, one other affected person at VA Augusta, will likely be featured on the poster for the National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic

The golf clinic will likely be held from Sep. 13-18 in Iowa.

“We are thrilled to see Dr. Maddox and Justin recognized on a national level,” says Suzanne Kenrick, a Recreation Therapist at VA Augusta who works carefully with CSRA Veteran athletes.

“They are both accomplished athletes, whose dedication and spirit serve as powerful reminders of the strength and resilience of our local Veterans.”

VA Augusta is residence to a strong Recreation Therapy program, which alongside the Spinal Cord Injury Unit, works to empower Veterans via adaptive sports and leisure actions.

As common members in national VA disabled and wheelchair video games, Maddox and Hall reveal distinctive talent and willpower.
