Attorney General Pam Bondi refused to reply a lawmaker’s yes-or-no questions concerning the work the Justice Department is doing to conform with President Donald Trump’s controversial “domestic terrorism” order that takes goal at left-wing teams.

Rep. Mary Scanlon famous that Trump’s September 25, 2025 order has been criticized for being “designed to silence those who disagree with the administration.”

The Pennsylvania Democrat pointed to a command in the chief order that the Justice Department undergo Trump and White House aide Stephen Miller an inventory of teams that would meet the definition of a home terrorist group. She requested Bondi whether or not the division had compiled the listing, requesting a sure or no response.

Bondi indicated she wouldn’t reply with a sure or no, making an attempt to pivot to a response about antifa, and Scanlon rapidly moved on.

She requested if Bondi would decide to offering to the committee any listing of organizations the division was recommending for home terrorism designations.

“I’m not going to commit to anything to you, because you won’t let me answer questions,” Bondi stated.

Trump’s order stated it was focusing on violent “anti-facism” actions, which it described in broad phrases as “anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.”

Scanlon famous that the division is legally required to inform Congress when it designates a bunch as a international terrorism group.

“Your position seems to be that if you falsely designated American or an American organization as a terrorist group, there’s nothing they can do about it.” she stated. “I think we get it. You don’t want to answer the question.”

“No, you don’t get anything,” Bondi shot again.
