Gaza’s Civil Defense group has warned residents within the besieged strip not to return to occupied areas till Israel formally broadcasts the withdrawal of its troops, as Israeli strikes continued Friday morning regardless of the ceasefire plan settlement.
For context: Israel’s authorities authorized the primary part of the US-brokered ceasefire deal in a single day. According to two Israeli officers talking on situation of anonymity, which means the ceasefire is now in impact. But it’s not clear if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the army to cease preventing.
Either means, Friday morning noticed intense airstrikes within the middle of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, with artillery shelling and drones flying over the town.
